Elizabeth I is crowned Queen regnant in Westminster Abbey,1 and begins to separate the Church of England from the communion of the Catholic Church, and begin decades of persecution of Catholics.	Former Anglican bishops John Broadhurst, Andrew Burnham and Keith Newton are ordained to the Catholic priesthood in Westminster Cathedral, the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham is erected to receive communities from the Church of England and of Wales and other Anglicans into communion with the Catholic Church.
